This lamp is gorgeous and I am very happy to have purchased it. The base is extremely heavy, so you have no worries about it falling over. And it isn't easy to move. The built in dimmer function is a nice touch, but the bulb does hum when dimmed, so not so great if you are sitting right beneath the lamp when it is dimmed.
