The antique brass is pretty, but the light itself is a very strange washed out color (not at all like the nice clear light color you get in other 'reveal' or full spectrum type bulbs. We kept it, though, because it looked nice in our room. It was functioning just fine for a couple of months, and my husband said the light was good to read by. The problem: after having this product just a couple of months, the stand seems to have broken. It no longer stays screwed securely to the base. Instead it leans over and no amount of taping or puttying by my husband can get it to stand straight again.
