I made an inexpensive pinecone-filled Mason Jar lamp for the kitchen in my "ski chalet" home (the most expensive component of this lamp was the shade). This lamp kit is designed for a regular mouth Mason jar, but I placed it on a wide mouth 1/2-gallon (64 ounce) Mason jar by inserting this lamp base into the wide mouth Mason jar metal ring.
